BabylonSearch: Skanking Dub by: Original Soundtrack Release Date February 07, 2005 I own this album on vinyl and the fact that it included the fantastic Aswad when they peeked with the track Warrior Charge should be recommendation enough.Dennis Bovell; the brains behind this album was an unappreciated British reggae genious in the early eighties.His band Matumbi made some memorable tracks with a few chart crossovers (After Tonight etc.) and jhe als produced some memorable dub works as Blackbeard. Reggae history as shined favourably on this album as it provides a great insight into the cultural blend of Jamaican roots music with the more lighter British 'Lover's' sound which Bovell was a major contributor to.The movie was a stark look into black British youth culture in Thatcher's Britian.I think the soundtrack has stood ...
