In particular, Abdominal ID's acoustic version of "The Speed Of Pain" takes the best part of the Manson original and stretches it over the length of the entire song. Brilliant! These tracks are really original. Instead of simply copying Marilyn Manson's songs (as is usually the case with tribute albums), these artists take them and make them their own. "Tourniquet" is amazing. A pleasent surprise!

Listen to this album alone in a quiet space and it will rank amongst your favourites ever.
Gorgeously naive vocals tie with acoustic styled tunes to just make you feel better about the world.
Ant is the drummer with Hefner ... this is of no relevance to this album, which is very different to (& considerably better than) any of hefner's recent outpourings.

This is a brilliant, erm, no not album, lets say e.p.
Five tracks mght qualify if they were all 6 minutes plus and at least one was an epic 15 minutes.
They are not.
However what there is, is worth more than a great big stack of pop albums, in my opinion.
It is the voice of Matthew Duggan that lifts this above the ordinary. He sings rock with the resonance of an opera singer using a foghorn. He has power, range, control, and fury in equal measure. He should be/will be a huge star.
I dont want that to take anything from Tom Allen, Dan North and Rick White, the rest of the band, who are accomplished musicians. The songs are musical and inventive, intersting harmonies and scales create the sounstage for the dark melachoic ... Read More:
