i was intrigued when i first saw this cd and immediately purchased it, however i would only recommmend it sublect to these points: a) "my own way" is the album and not single version b) while the cd contains interesting b-sides ("fame", "white lines", "make me smile", "like an angel") and also has some good album tracks as well as singles, there's not a lot of point purchasing this unless you are a die hard fan - most tracks are on their other albums, and therefore you are getting less value here - a better cd would have been all the b-sides and the single version of "my own way" however as an intro to the band it is a reasonable choice although you could get their first album and ... guyana punchline always do the trick: fast songs. cool screamy vocals and song structures noone can produce, but GPL. Actually I don't like this type of music at all, but for some reason I like GPL a lot. Althought their 2 7"'s were both a bit more of the same, this lp rocks in total like GPS's 1st LP. "But why should I like Guyana Punchline?" is your question, isn't it? Well basically this band does more than playing rad music. They created a whole ideology, which is called SMASHISM. It's just funny as hell, but because it written in a strange way you know that they aren't as un-political correct as one might think. Everything is written in such a hilarical way, that you know from the beginning that they have some ideals every ... Read More:

I bought this album on the strength of Dream Catch Me, something I don't usually do without hearing more, but a decision I certainly don't regret in this case.
Vocally, he has hints of Jack Johnson and Adam Levine, and delivers each song with soul, energy and enthusiasm. There are no bad, weak or filler tracks on this album, which sounds polished but still raw.
Despite the similarities I mentioned earlier, Faulkner still sounds totally unique and has a lot of talent. I enjoy this album, which manages to relax me when I need relaxation, as well as stimulate me when I need an energy boost.
