All we know is, this is yet another quite solid grab bag of tunes - blessed and sanctified by the presence of the Stig, but you're not sure whether he can actually hear in these frequencies. There are quite a few recent tunes you'll know from heavy airplay and (over)use in ads ("Monster", "That's Not My Name", "Have A Nice Day") a few retro classics thrown in for the ironed-jeans brigade ("Raspberry Beret", "Logical") and a few odd curveballs to try and look hip and down with the kids ("Propane Nightmares").

I never usually write reviews on here but i felt i needed to after reading the other review. Please disregard that other message, this album does not include as many well known downtempo artists as we may expect but it does exactly what it says on the tin, the tunes are fantastic and just what you want on a hot summer afternoon. I agree that athlete and snow patrol sounds out of place which is why i had to knock off a star, esp for the terrible mix of snow patrols song, disgusting remix to say the least!

nevertheless i felt so absorbed in this album and there are some real gems on it!

Whereas one view has been poor, I found this album pretty good. Afterall who wants to listen to the same old pony that you can listen to on the radio - turn that on instead.

I regularly watch Top Gear and noticed that some of these tracks were used for their car reviews. You know you've heard them before but don't have a clue where you can find them. Some such as 4Hero's Les Fleur was used in advertising (Bailey's I think).

I thought this was a good mixed bag of Indie/Rock/Dance/Ambient et all with some off the wall tracks thrown in. Don't be put off just because some of the tracks weren't in the top 40 or 100 for that matter. Admittedly it won't be to everyones taste and I do skip tracks ... Read More:

Jason Lytle has an eclectic ear and the 15 songs chosen for this album are testament. From the opening 'we live again' through to Fruits Bats 'the little acorn' and The Handsome Family 'I fell' he has presented a unique selection of varied yet somehow similar music that to me at least is not unlike some of the best lo-fi melodies he himself has penned. A lot of bands on this album I hadn't heard of but but thats all about to change because Mr Lytle has released an invitation to all to enjoy this music - my advice is don't turn him down.
