Judy seems to have bounced around several labels since leaving Elektra but 1990 found her on a major, Columbia, for this release. The opening track, "The Blizzard", is one of Judy's major compositions. Its a song she still plays in concert and one she can justly be proud of. Her solo concert version of this tune, just voice and piano, is remarkable. The rest of the album almost maintains the high standard of "The Blizzard". A couple of familiar covers "The Air That I Breathe" and "From A Distance" are perhaps the weak spots, but the other tracks are very powerful and the majority are co-written by Judy. "Queen Of The Night" was played quite a lot by Radio 2 and was perhaps too far removed from Amazing Grace / Send In The Clowns / Both Sides ... Read More:
