Summing up his thoughts on a recently failed relationship, Eric Clapton jotted down these words one night in early 1994, and they eventually made their way into the cover booklet of the album he released later that same year, the last line also providing the album's title. This is unquestionably a great album. 'The Supernatural' is a stunning track, and there are quite a few other great ones as well. However, the 2003 2 CD re-issue contains, so far as I'm aware, everything that Peter Green recorded with John Mayall, including all the singles, B sides, etc. These others are WELL worth having, and they're only otherwise available on a variety of compilation albums, and not all in one place, so if you can afford it, go for that version.

There MAY be some more tracks that Peter Green recorded with John Mayall, but if so I don't know of them. This album brings together tracks only otherwise available on a number of different albums, including at least two compilations, so if you want a comprehensive collection of Green's Bluesbreaker's period, here it is. It could almost be said to include Fleetwood Mac as well, as two of the tracks not only feature Green, but Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie.
As ever, Peter's playing is almost always first-rate, the music is VERY bluesy... what more can you ask for?

Where is 'Greeny'? I just can't believe it. The most stunning, emotional bluesy Peter Green song and it is not on this otherwise brilliant album. I now have to dig deeper and purchase the double CD version which is quite a bit more expensive just for this one track alone.
