this is a fantastic cd!
i was eagerly waiting for the day that it came out and bought it on the 1st day. i knew next to none of the songs but after i listened to it a couple of times i began to like EVERY song. i loved the first 2 cds aswell so im looking forward to the 2008 album (if there is going to be 1)

I'm not mad enough to anathemize a two-disc set because the tracks aren't mixed together, and I'm also not daft enough to assume that most listeners of this kind of trance frequent clubs. Nearly everyone I know who is into their electronica listens to it while at work, in the car, or at home with a beer, and blurring the edges of tracks serves no purpose in these settings. Not only is it nice to be able to tap FFWD on the CD player without the tail end of the previous number jumping over the start of the next, it's also a silent thumbs-down to that nonsense profession of "DJ".

Anyway. Most of the tunes on this double album are top rate. Sometimes things can get a little too commercial ("Bullet In The Gun", for example) or a little too hard ... Read More:

Could have used the original to Operation Blade instead though, can't see how that would have been hard, can't stand tracks that name check themselves in their songs, ie Scooter

This a good album but is let down by the fact that Club mix 99 and 2000 are so much better. There are some great tunes on this like Sash (Yes Sash) just around the hill remix which is fantastic but the tides had startded to change at this point and Dance music was starting to lose a bit of its magic (or am I getting old?) A good album but by the time of this release the glory days of house and trance were starting to disapeare. It is one last glimps of an age of dance that has now passed, This is much like the MOS annual 3 as its in the middle of a change in direction of music where as on the MOS its a change from acid house to trance with this you can hear old trance rifts but also the younger sound of whats around today. this is the send off of the golden ...
