The idea of a song selection voted by the public sounded like a farfetched idea as many people have different views about what dance music is. Some believe this new "cheesy" dance sound is what club music is about whilst others are diehard dance fans. Reluctant to buy this, I took the chance and I'm glad I did.
Disk 1 includes a mixture of both cheesy and decent dance music and really does reflect the highs and lows of dance music in 2005. 'Discopolis' was, for me, the strongest song on disk 1 but this album took me a few plays before I got into it. The great thing about this album is it includes club mixes and not radio edits. This makes the album sound so much stronger and more professional.

This 5 disc set represents superb value for money as every track is a classic dance tune.I like the way they have grouped certain styles of dance music together on each disc.For instance disc 2 features tunes from the late 80's and early 90's predominantly and disc 5 has a selection of trance tunes for your listening pleasure.I havnt skipped a single track whilst listening to this bad boy over the last few nights and with a 100 tunes to get through thats pretty good going.I'm also recommending the "100 Club Classics" as the perfect companion to this set and with both your in for some great tunes and great memories of dancing in smoke filled nightclubs on a Saturday night! Buy them now and turn up that bass!

I used to love the Breakdown Series, but they have gone far too commercial - where can i ever get a decent house compilation that isn't full of chart rubbish!!!

some of these songs are two years old, some more. Shame on MOS for buying out another once great name anmd turning it into pop.

Another Ministry cop-out, except this time they've made the grave mistake making 'The Rush' look un-suprisingly similar to 'The Ride', released merely months before. The difference? One's got a red Ferrari and is titled Rush, the other has a yellow Lamborghini and is title Ride. The tracklisting needs no mention, for half the tracks are the usual new over-played releases, while the rest are over-played past releases. Do your self a favour and buy a quality album...

Excellent Mega mix, much improved from The Mash Up Mix 2005; a great sequel to this new series. Includes many classic dance anthems and all the hits of 2006.

The Cut Up Boys really show style, experimenting with different mixing styles and there is no monotonous beat, which goes through the whole mix. From the three MOS (2005, 2006, 2007) which of the time of writing are available, this Mash Up's is my favourite. Nice acappella version versions, which I never heard of Silence (Delerium), track 10, CD2 and a great reminder of what House music is ;-) with "Do you remember House". The CD2 finishes with the top dance song of 2005: D.H.T. - listen to your heart. I could not possibly describe all songs, but some of the above are just some ... Read More:

Personally i have never been too much of a fan of Ministry Of Sound compilations, for me they have always been too mainstream, with more dance pop rather than out and out dance music. However it was a refreshing change when i saw the track list to this edition and noticed a whole host of fantastic tracks.

The CD's represent the vibrant funky house scene currently occupying club land, and is a good representation of what you would likely hear out on a friday and saturday night. Particular stand out tracks include:
