This CD is the very worst kind of rip-off. "18 long-forgotten chart busters" says the art work. Yep the songs were chart busters all right, but not these recordings.

As usual, in the smallest possible print on the back of the CD (which is of course not readable online - it's hard enough to read when you have the stupid thing in front of you!) it has the usual stuff about these being re-recordings using as many of the original artists as possible. Sounds to me as if in most of these cases that was around about *none* of the original artists.

So, these are all re-recordings of hits - either by imitators (not very good ones mostly) or maybe just one or two members of the original bands. The Pilot track for example bears hardly any ... Read More:

My Christmas came early - as a collector of long forgotten classic pop chart songs this really fits the bill.
Value for money for me as often when I buy a compilation there is only one or two tracks I haven't got - but this time plenty of gems. Quality can be debated but nevertheless they charted and were heard on the radio - so they count!

I love the eighties and waited with anticipation to receive this. What a disappointment the album are all re-recordings with the exception of about 5 tracks out of the whole album. They are re-recordings made by the original artists, but they are awful. We want the originals not re-recordings or different versions. Awful avoid buying unless you want re-recordings and not the original versions of the songs. Poor
