Although this album is not significantly differnt than the infamous "gear Blues", it has a much more Brit-pop sort of of feel to it. It sounds like something you could hear the stokes or the hives take a throttle to. It has so much of the pure intensity that characterises this band. Many westerners that i have forced to listen to this music either can't stand not understanding the lyrics, (but my japanese friends can't understand it, either...) This is one rather neat CD. Disc 1 has a more traditional feel with most of the tracks from the Jazz greats - Mile Davis, Peggy Lee, Billy Holiday, etc. However the tracks chosen are not the most well known tracks, or sometimes unusual versions of well known classics. It took me a few listens to get in to disc 1, but now I love it!

Disc 2 - just great, loved it at 'first sight'. A much more contemporary track selection, filled with fantastic slow, soulful numbers that feel as good as a full-body massage. This is a disc that makes vallium obsolete, relaxing stresses you didn't know you had. Beautiful sounds with a slightly haunting air. Be warned - don't listen whilst lying down - you will never get to hear the full disc without drifting ... Read More:
