Ignore the miseries, this is a really good rockin' album. I have kind of mocked these guys for years - yet having heard this CD I am amazed how many of the tunes I actually know and really like. You'll probably be the same. What more can I say? It's cheap as chips. Give it a listen. Hell Yeh!!!!

The collection is mounted in the front of a lavish 12" x 12", 120 page hardback book featuring copies of the pictures painted by various stars and artists, who have created their own versions of classic Quo album and singles covers. and a live in concert dvd which i have seen and it is fantastic with a mix of new and old.
old tracks from scooter are also on the album which was not on the last release so this is an essential for fans and newcomers of the recent music

This is a brilliant, eclectic mix of guitar based songs. OK they are not all legends and OK there are some standards not included BUT that is the beauty of it. Don't read the track list and just play it and you will be continually suprised and delighted at what you hear. Robert Cray followed by Johnny Kidd & the Pirates. Howlin' Wolf followed by Steppenwolf, Bonnie Raitt by Mayall. I bought this for my teenage son who is learning to play guitar - he loves it but he can't get it out of my machine. Buy it today and smile for the next month!

I was 14 when these songs first hit the airwaves and I was just getting interested in pop music rather than just football cards and Birds trifle. They say your first love, your first car and your first flat remaind precious to you forever and the same is true with the music that first awakened your teenage soul. Given that I was very much a Ska and New Wave geek at the time, I am delighted to give unashamed disco by Gene Chandler "Get Down Bubba Baby Bubba Get Down" another listen and to pronounce it fine indeed. Although I have had enough Gloria Gaynor to last me a lifetime.
