. The Best of BlurSearch: Stereotypes by: Blur Release Date November 21, 2000 Theres much to say about this terrific music. It really is unlike anything else, so original, so rocking, soothing and hilarious. It opens with the brilliant 1997 single Beetlebum which in my view is a "perfect" Blur song, and afterwards treated to the splendour that is Song 2. Marvellous. The CD is packed with classics such as Parklife and Girls and Boys and the superb and most recent Coffee and TV, which is just one of those songs that gets better everytime you hear it. A few songs such as the debut single She's So High will be most liked only to hardcore Blur fans, but once you hear the first tracks you will be! Then, my personal favourite- which is Tender is just so likeable, so superb. Good news to hear the guys are coming back to the studio ... Read More: |

Anniversary Box SetSearch: Stereotypes by: Blur Release Date October 26, 1999 wow,this box set ia well worth it. if you are a huge blur fan like me and ca'nt afford to buy every origional single you missed out on as you were too young or just didnt know about them this is essential. the b-sides are brill esp young and lovley. i do not recommend you buy this if you are only one of these fans who likes song 2 and nothing else as you may feel dissapointed. but for all big blur fans this is a must xx |

They did this by broadening their musical palette; where their classic debut (effectively) embraces the ska and reggae of Prince Buster, The Skatalites and Toots and The Maytals, this album sees them venturing into a wider variety of genres, including northern soul (`Sock It To `Em J.B.'), spaghetti westerns soundtracks (`Stereotypes') and easy listening (`Enjoy Yourself (It's Later Than You Think)').
