The Specials BBC Sessions album is a positive delight featuring different versions of Specials tracks and some rarities. The Sessions were all recorded for the John Peel Show and are all presented in chronological order apart from one untraceable tape.
The first session was recorded shortly after the `Gangsters' single was distributed by Rough Trade and is given a very distinct sound by the virtue of featuring no drummer but some percussion effects presented in lieu.
