this is awesome! it's great to hear someone original which is all to rare these days unfortunately. and arve henriksen is an original - the sound, the style, the creativity. It's beautiful and inspiring that there are some musicians out there still who push the boundaries and come up with something worth hearing.he's also amazing live - check him with dhaffer youssef especially....

Just a beautiful album, with the band sounding so relaxed and note perfect. I really do recommend this so much. And don't forget to pop the DVD into your PC for the extra mp3s: so far there's 'Wot's Uh...the Deal', Dominoes and a rather amazing Shine On You Crazy Diamond. A new track will be added every month until September 2009. How great a package is this! :-)

I can only echoe the glowing reviews of this title but a note of caution. The small lettering on the package reveals that the DVD content features strobe lighting effects. Such effects can adversely affect those with certain neurological conditions.

There has been much comment on what makes a modern opera, and if this particular work fulfils the 'Opera' criteria. This is a fantastic way for many to approach opera, and it has just finished it's second Glyndebourne run. This recording is first rate and greatly benefits from the live performance. The countertenor singing of Chris Robson is 'alien' as this role intends and at times extremely touching. The controller role is a tour de force, and sung with ease by Clarron McFaddon. She scales a sonic f with ease! Nualla Willis is splendid and at times her sound is confused with Mr Robsons, further displaying that she also is an outsider. The relationship of Tina and Bill (Mary Plazas & Coxon) is beautifully sung and realised. Plazas's singing canopies ... Read More:
