I first listened to Saxon some 20 years ago as a long haired youth into the "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" and have not listened to them much over the past 15 years. This album brought it all back! an excellent slice of British heavy Metal from the 80's. The only bone of contention is the omission of the track "wheels of steel" despite this track being mentioned on the sleeve notes. That aside it is full of great songs that give you a real taste of what Saxon were all about. The Eagle has landed, 747-Strangers in the night, Dallas 1pm, denim and leather, the band played on etc, are all here. Bon Jovi get off the Air! These are two of the best Rock albums ever bar-none. Sadly Saxon suffered from the fact that bands that were not even half as good as them i.e. the truly awful Bon Jovi came on the scene and sold squillions of records to people who were not true Rock fans, this meant that many Rock acts were dropped from their labels or forced to adopt a "Jovi-like-sound" that was utterly alien to both them and their fans as can be heard on the very poor Saxon albums that came later as mentioned by some of the other reviewers here, the worst of which would probably be "Destiny" on this one you may as well scratch off the Saxon logo and just write "Bon Jovi" at the top, it really is that bad, and I am sad to say after that album I never bought another ...
