only one word can describe this album lovin it, it combines some classic house tunes with some modern just released tunes, and the great vocals of sonique herself . the first cd lacks the tunes of the second but makes up with one tune cafe del mar by energy 52 which soniques vocals have been placed into it sounds great

i don't know what the other dudes problem with this compilation is , yes the tracks are old but who cares old dance tunes are by far the best. To say that non of these were club tunes is bizzare unless you didnt go clubbing in the lat 90's early 00's ,

i don't know what the other dudes problem with this compilation is , yes the tracks are old but who cares old dance tunes are by far the best. To say that non of these were club tunes is bizzare unless you didnt go clubbing in the lat 90's early 00's ,

Acknowledging all the other reviews that reinforce the point of this being a classic revisit of some of the last 10 years' biggest tunes, I really want to outline that Ministry of Sound ownership also represents possibly the biggest thorn in Euphoria's side.

If we take a look at the first Euphoria albums, we can see some real honesty and new ground there. Seldom-heard-of-on-mix-compilations talent like PF Project, Matt Darey, Agnelli&Nelson and Jay Burnett, these guys were given a task to put together an album that said what they wanted to say. This CD is will come in one of the best of 2001, the selection of music is great plus the picture in the cd is very nice, continuos with the art covers of the classic Renaissance's cd's. Dave Seaman have some of the best underground mixes and with this cd come to demostrate it. For you collection of Renaissance cd's you should have it, art, music is gonna be a classic cd for 2001.

It's been a few months since Platipus delivered us an album, but they are back now, with the first in a new series of mix albums, Widescreen 16:9.

A new concept cd, with added keyboards, extra effects and sounds, added to the mix to enhance it for home listening by Platipus. Supposedly, further volumes will be produced by well known DJs, who will be invited to add their own touches to make it stand out from the glut of progressive mix albums on the market.

Alright, a disclaimer - this is 2001 progressive house. That means darkness, minimal percussive tracks, and some more darkness. People seem to be split about 50 50 on this whole phenomenon, so basically, if you snoozed your way through Digweed's last GU, this mix is categorically not for you.

The opening track of CD1 sets the tone masterfully - apropriately called Night Stalker, it's carried by loping grooves and clattering, unearthly sound FX. the mix moves through the undead trance of the K & Creamer mix of ECVM's Circuit Breaker, before reaching an early peak with the growling klaxons and booty-moving bassline of Prototype's Control of Sound. The mixing is smooth, although not spectacularly so.

The title says it all, without a doubt john kelly is one of the finest dj's ever to grace the decks of slinkys at the Opera House and creation.

This cd contains lots of deep and dark tunes that are seemlessly mixed from one to another, a completely cheese free zone!.
Although not quite as good as Planet Sydney this is most definately worth having, so get your hands on it and upset the neighbours!!!
