After reading a few of the negative reviews after I had purchased this CD, I was kinda dreading what it would be like. However, I have to say that apart from only a couple of the most recent releases, which just aren't my taste, the rest are fantastic. The older ones are brilliant and bring back loadsa memories.

Let me start by saying I am not from the UK and i don't know most of these songs.I bought it at a virgin megastore on vacation. Some of the songs are kinda weird and boring like love generation or nine million bycicles but others are fun and catchy like push the button or i predict a riot. Here's how i rate the songs:
Disc One
1.Sugababies-Push The Button 4/5
2.Robbie Williams-Tripping 3/5
3.Pussycat Dolls-Don't Cha 0/5
4.Daniel Powter-Bad Day 2/5
5.David Gray-The One I Love 3/5
6.Kelly Clarkson-Since U Been Gone 2/5
7.Will Young-Switch It On 4/5
8.Girls Aloud-Biology 4/5
9.McFly-I'll Be OK 3/5
10.Kaiser Chiefs-I Predict A Riot 5/5
11.Franz Ferdinand-Do You Want To 4/5

I love to drive long distances, touring around countries by car, stopping off in B&Bs, local ranches and generally soaking up the beauty around me, and much of it on my own. But whether you are on your own, or travelling with someone, this is a fabulous collation of songs to complement any long drive. Have had the CD as my companion both in the Mid-West USA and around Scotland, and through sun and rain, made my drive all the more pleasurable.

Looking for a decent various album, this particular one appealed to my tastes more than any other out there.
When purshasing a various artists collection you often get a mixture of tunes you either love, hate or haven't heard of before.
Thankfully for me i got a selection of tunes i loved and the fast forward button is left well alone.
I knew all about the likes of Coldplay,Travis,The Killers,Razorlight,Oasis and Paul Weller ect,but now i have a few more groups i need to look out for after witnessing some hidden gems from, amongst others,Turin Brakes,Kings of Leon and Doves in particular.
Not a duff track amonst this collection but two songs alone make this 2 disc cd well worth getting hold of,Pink Floyd's 'Comfortably Numb' and Radiohead's ... Read More:

I was really disappointed when I got this as the tracks listed on the Amazon webpage weren't the same. I think Amazon need to change the listing to avoid disappointing other customers.

I must admit, I'm baffled by Mr. Derek Denton's review. "The Other Side of the World" is very melodic and soulful, but it isn't even the best track on the album, let alone the only good one. It is perhaps the most commercial song, but I prefer my music to have a bit more character than that, which is why "Eye to the Telescope" satisfies. There is the balance of soulful and romantic, set against vibrant and aggressive. "Another Place to Fall" and "Black Horse and Cherry Tree" are punchy, whilst "False Alarm" and "Heal Over" are moving and personal.
For me, "Under the Weather" is the disappointment here, being a little twee and bland. So maybe a more apt caption for this album might be "one bad song".

Joining Hard Fi and James Blunt on the list of quite amazing comebacks this year is KT Tunstall, returning to the fore with her 1st single off new album "Drastic Fantastic" and 6th single overall of her career.
A plucky, delightful, slightly dancehall-ish slice of folky pop, "Hold On" is without doubt, going to follow in the footsteps of "Suddenly I See" as one of her signature songs/radio anthems and get her 2nd album campaign (4th if you count her lost album, "Tracks In July" and acoustic package "Acoustic Extravaganza") off to a strong start.
And furthermore, I hear this is set to climb into the Top 10 on downloads alone this Sunday, so maybe this could even be her first #1 if you buy this song. It's very good.
