Brilliant! - You know why? Because this simply involves two decks, a mixer (I'm guessing the DJM600 if the much used filter effect on this CD is anything to go by) and a very talented DJ. I love this mix in its glorious entirety. What's more - it's live. On a good stereo, you can actually here the occasional record crackle! The mixing is by and large first rate - beat perfect, lengthy and in key and the programming is at times, inspired!! I still listen to this compliation an awful lot today and still play out some of the tunes on it myself - especially Schudelfloss, Twist & Shout, Same Sun Same Sky and Bullet, because they still sound so fresh & funky....

The label is CTI, for those that care.
Larry Coryell is one of those talented jazz guitarists who can doze on with MOR smooth jazz material for whole albums - truly lazy playing - but then send a shiver down your spine with one blistering track out of the blue, displaying the man's true heritage with the greats and showing just what he's capable of.
So it is with Fallen Angel. Although there are a number of prime examples of Coryell's craft on this collection (Angel on Sunset, Pieta, Thus Spoke Z, Stella by Starlight), the best by miles is Monk's Corner. This is a true original - the master extracting a range of grunts, groans, vibratos and impossible notes from his instrument while dueting with Ted Rosenthal's fractured ... Read More:

When I heard this C.D for the first time I found it truly captivating and vivid to listen to it combines some of the greatest artists of the late nineties into one unsupressable album.I found that it contains some truely great pieces of work which include RockDJ by Robbie Williams,Life Is A Rollercoaster by Ronan Keating and Sky by Sonique. These are just a few of the great pieces of music found on this disc. I personally recommend some of the solo artists like Robbie Williams and Ronan Keating. However the disc does have some drawbacks due to the songs being mixed in such a manner that they may sometimes cause frustration when selecting a song for example due to the high amount of good music you will find it hard to find the song you want. The minidisc ... I think the Brits c.d is the very best. It has Indie, pop and dance tracks and a lot of top hits from the last year of music. If you want an all round good listening c.d (with the exception of the Britney track) this is the one for you.

Do yourself a favour and buy this immediately. This is pretty much all the classic Galaxy 2 Galaxy trax from UR - including Astral Apache which was for me an old fave from the 90s. A good range of styles on offer but all fused with melody and funk. If I could give this more than 5 I would!
