With so many tracks there has to be a few that are not going to be to your taste. Some of the cover versions are a bit naff, although I found a few good, new to me, tracks that more than make up for them. So 'Tighten Up' all you old (original) skinheads and lovers of original Jamacian reggae buy this one, and any new to old fashioned reggae, even Amy Winehouse recorded Money Man. You will not be let down by this fine collection. |

The Trojan Records Sampler 2002Search: Sweet Sensation - Melodians by: Various Artists Release Date February 04, 2002 This is a great sampler of staple tracks from the vaults of Trojan Records, taking in classics from 1965 to 1977. Every song is a classic- from the Skatalites take of 'Guns of Navarone' (memorably covered by The Specials) to The Ethiopeans 'Last Train to Skaville' (an influence on the timeless 'Street Tuff' by Rebel MC. We get Desmond Dekker & The Aces, which despite its re-use in an advert is still great (it was used in the film 'Drugstore Cowboy').
