I love Ninja Tune records and the tracks on this cd are amazing but it would have been a 5 star review if it had been mixed. Apart from that it is good, especially if you are just finding out about Ninja Tune.

Short and sweet, if you like beats - you just can't fault any of the three (2 CD's, 1 DVD) in the latest Zen retrospective collection.

This particular CD has tracks that some may already own, and some that they don't, either way it's packed with class.

You've got Squarepusher ripping up tracks in his drill'n'bass style, a smooth bossa-nova nova remix of the Herbaliser (Something Wicked), followed straight by an easy-summerfied remix of Mr Bowden. The CD is packed with NinjaTune classics given a bit of an edge.

If you are already into the Zen thing buy it, if you are a novice ninja then maybe head for the Zen Retrospective CD as this might be a little challenging in parts.(or maybe not?)

Anyone who's seen Mr Scruff play in a club, or been to his web site, would have noticed his child-like animations.
This DVD e.p. is a collection of his best tracks, with accompanying animations. It may be short but it's certainly appealing, as demonstrated by my mother (55) and my daughter (6) being fans of it!
The music's great too- so if your a fan of groovy music AND groovy animation, this is a must have!

As gus gus seem to shy away from the "indie" tag, so do they also shy away from originality. This unfortunately is their worst album so far! If you remember how repetitive bands like messiah were, you'll understand what i mean. How many times can she sing "i want to hold you in my arms again", makes you wonder why he left her! A dreadfully monotonous album, better to stick with previous ones.
