I can't really understand where one of the other reviewers is coming from in assigning 1 star. That's very unfair. Sure, Lavelle's GU mix (and the Original Movie Soundtrack release) both have very recognisable echoes of what's here. But the point is that they aren't identical...and both releases (in my opinion at least) are mixed with a huge amount of forethought and skill.
The results here for 'Do androids...?' are three quirky, murky, smart mixes with all the unique weirdness that continues to set unkle apart.
Listenable. Danceable. Engrossing.
If you're an Unkle fan, and you can find this - really do pick it up. A real gem.

skinlab were a band that slipped by the metal radar for many years and quite possibly as a result they are no more and thats a shame,i cant say why they went years without recognition,but thats the way it goes,hailing from the bay area which spawned machine head,many compared skinlab to machine head and as much as that is true it could be said that skinlab had more of a groove to their metal sound.
Skinlab were a band with a sound that said that they meant business,steevs vocals were pretty unique and helped bring great melody to the bands fury,this is a heavier album than revolting room but still as infectious,the band may be gone but the cd aint so pick this puppy up.
