Wonder what funk is all about? Don't look further - it's all here! Packed very neatly in a box of red velvet (just like that old Bee Gees LP!) you find four cd's stuffed with a mix of defining, wellknown tracks, that any true funker will be able to hum in their sleep (the set starts out with James Browns "Get up ..."), along with lots of lesser-known tracks, that make up the history of funk. The set includes great cover-notes, and the masterminds behind the collection have carefully chosen the best versions of the songs, which means that quite a few of the rarer single-versions are included. Treat yourself to this box but be aware that you might end up feeling a need to rest your ears. 5 hours of funk is nearly too much!
