I really love this album! It is really brilliant and my favourite song is "Jump" by Girls Aloud because it makes me want to get up and boogie and so does "Somebody To Love" by Boogie Pimps. I also like "Too Lost In You" by the Sugababes because it is a perfect smooching song and it is from "Love Actually", like "Jump". I also like "Everybody Cries" by Liberty X because it really brings a tear to my eye. I also like "Be Faithful" by Fatman Scoop, "Milkshake" by Kelis, "Ladies' Night" by Atomic Kitten and Kool and the Gang, "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" by Blue, Stevie Wonder and Angie Stone, "Sweet Dreams My LA Ex" by Rachel Stevens and "I Won't Change You" by Sophie Ellis-Bextor.

The Very Best of New Woman

What makes a good cd? I reckon a good mix of old and new that you want to listen to over and over again. That is certainly the case with this, 'The Very Best of New Woman'! It has old classics like Aretha Franklin's 'Respect' closely followed by the wonderful 'Build Me Up Buttercup' by The Foundations. These fantastic golden oldies are put side by side with some of the best up and coming stars of this year- Norah Jones 'Sunrise' is a definate hit, as well as the awesome Jamie Cullum with 'High And Dry'. This really is a great compilation, and you'll be bopping away to it in no time. Also, a great present- either to a friend, a girlfriend or to a mum on Mothers day! What more could you ask?

For anyone who loves the chillout style of compilation albums, this CD is definitely worth a listen. I am somewhat biased as a lover of both chillout and the female voice. Amongst the more popular tracks such as Appleton's 'Don't Worry', Kelly Rowland's 'Stole' and Sugababes' 'Stronger' are some real pearls by new (to me) artists such as Canadian pair Sherrie Lea and Chantal Kreviazuk. I've never been a huge fan of Lisa Stansfield, but the track here, 'Time To Make You Mine', is a real stand-out, sensuous enough to make the hair on the back of one's neck stand on end. There are great songs here but what a great collection this is of some of the best singers around such as Katie Melua, Beulah Garside, Alyson Williams...
