This CD is very good if you are looking for a basic introduction into the music of India - it covers all genres from classical (Ravi Shankar), Bollywood (Sukhvinder Singh) to British-Asian fusion (Cornershop) so you get a fairly rounded idea of Indian music.

Great to see the great talents of Panjabi MC, Rishi Rich and Nitin Sawhney represented on this CD. The only complaint I would make is that it would have been nice to have some of the famous Bollywood stars represented; Shahrukh Khan is a huge name in India but is missing from this compilation.

Got this for peanuts and even though i recognised a few artists i was unsure of the quality for this budget release . I was delighted to discover that every track is rather special and puts the Hotel Costes and Buddha Bar compilations to shade with its selections and broad musical appeal . A hidden gem for not much money - a true delight .....Rey de Copas and the Marcos Valle track are worth this CD alone .

As Kylie once said, "If you can't find the music to get down and boogie, all you can do is step back in time". Too true of this unsung gem of a compilation! A superb selection of 60s/70s cuts lifted from anywhere and everywhere, well worth the price. Some obscure tracks that have been used on ads, like the Gap ads back in 1999 and a track called Exploration used in an underarm deodorant advert amongst others, this album knocks spots off other more recent dumb assed compilations! Get it- you'll be singin it for months! lol

I picked up this double CD on the basis that just about every Ministry collection I've bought was pretty good. I wanted something a little more 'spiritual' than all the other soft-trance/world-music stuff that has flooded the market and thought that Ministry would do a good job. Well, I'm so glad that I had faith because we play it regularly and never seem to tire of it. It's the right vibe for just about every occasion from dinner party to chillout. I particularly like the second CD and must confess that we play it in preference to the first. Across the spectrum from the haunting Caislean Oir (Clannad) to the soulful Rah (Natacha Atlas) and the very danceable Touareg (Le Duc) it all in all makes for very enjoyable listening that you'll play ... Tune In Chill Out

As the title suggests, this is indeed a chill out album. All the tracks have been taken from adverts shown in the past couple of years. This results in choruses of "I always wondered who did this song" and "Which advert is this from? Don't tell me, don't tell me" when listened to in a group.
There are some songs which are known in there own right, such as FatBoy Slim's Right Here, Right Now; then there are those songs you have heard on TV and thought, yeah I really like this, but who is it? This would include songs like 6 underground by the Sneaker Pimps and Slip Into Something Comfortable by Kinobe.

I found this cd to be of top quality. It has songs on that u have heard loads before but never knew the names of. It has some top tunes on it and is great for chilling. It does exactly what is says on the label.

MOS Chilled 1991-2008

Many of the other reviews about this product are critical of this album as they seem to be saying that it has too many good songs that they already have. I do not see why this should be a problem as having all these very good tracks in one package must be a good thing.
If you are new to this genre of music like I was then this album is the ideal starting point and I would highly recommend it to you.
