I bought this album because I like both the respective artistes involved. The prospect of a brilliant fusion of rap and metal is there..but it just does not gel very well in practice! They don't seem to meet each other on what should be common ground- crazy vocal sound bites from Patton should be looped ad infinitum over heavy beats, scratches and screaming guitars! But the music is pedestrian, vocals trite, and samples from films poorly chosen! Guess i'll just have to live with my imaginary version of this album. If only there was a remix album to save the venture..

What an astonishing work of art! I don't just mean the music and the various versions of the songs on this album, but the case itself is such a compliment to this compilation. The way the CDs are housed on the inside of the covers enveloping a book detailing all the songs, H G Wells' backgound, and his inspiration for writing WOW is amazing! I don't think you have to be a die hard fan to enjoy it, as there are so many layers to listen to on each track - even your Gran would enjoy it! Each instrument seems to jump out at you and you will definetely hear melodies you just weren't aware of on the old 70's LPs and 80's/90's CDs. The three CDs are filled with superb remastered and totally authentic recordings that span the incredible career of Frankie Valli and The four Seasons. The quality is superb, the versions presented here are the originals, in stereo or mono as is appropriate. The DVD is wonderful - classic live performances of the group at its peak. Of especial note are the 1971 TOTP recordings of Let's Hang On and I've Got You Under My Skin, both live, very well recorded and very true to the 1971 stage sound. Frankie's voice is at its best and this has to be heard loud to get the full dramatic impact. Thoroughly recommended.
