Yes, many fans of the first hour don't like it. Yes, it's different from The Unforgettable Fire and, to a lesser extent, Achtung Baby. Yes, it is more on the experimental and electronic side. But, if you grew up in post-Berlin-wall Europe, this album feels, smells and tastes like it - they got the Zeitgeist. That's why it's a great album.

I bought this album because I like a lot of the songs on the album and just wanted a general overview of Cash's career. I was also thrilled to see a cover of One by U2 on it (one of my favourite songs by them), and a couple of live songs; A Boy Named Sue in particular, because he was just such an incredible showman and it was great to listen to this imagining being there to witness him delivering such great performances.

This is a brilliant album and brilliant value for money; a great introduction to, or overview of, Cash's career.

Johnny Cash is one of the greatest musicians in the history of the country, rock n' roll and popular music genres. This boxset certainly lives up to it's name, and it's price, it is definatly worth the money if you are fanatical about Cash.
The book is huge and has some brilliant photographs, there are also 5 CD's and a DVD of the special celebrating 25 years in the music industry. There is also a featured lithograph from one of Johnny's favourite artists.
