Last year the Three Towns Theatre Company put on the show 'BLITZ!' at the Brook Theatre, Chatham. This CD helped us a lot in rehearsals. It was invaluabe with the timing of the show and helped me by giving me something and someone to sing with in my car. For fans of the show or Lionel Bart this is an ideal purchase.

In comparison with the first two compilations in this series, this has been a disappointment. The 70s and 80s theme has been blown out the window, and replaced with total rubbish. Save your money and don't buy this.

Also the listing as on this site when I bought the CD is wrong - there are only 24 tracks not 26 as shown - these two are missing: 17. Elgar: Pomp And Circumstance March No.1 In D Major + 19. Maggie Gave A Thistle - and the order of the others differs somewhat...

There are a number of problems with recordings emanating from Ohio Light Opera. The two reviewers below have picked up on one of them - the accent - American's performing British and European works inevitably find it difficult to disguise their accents (the word "can't" is always a giveaway)- and they do grate on the British ear. Sadly this is particularly true in this recording as with their CHOCOLATE SOLDIER and PRINCESS IDA. And yet, Ohio have proved that they can present an effective English accent as heard in their excellent accounts of both UTOPIA LIMITED and THE GRAND DUKE.
