. Fuzz and NonsenseSearch: Thrills by: Fuzzbox Release Date November 27, 2000 I think this is a wonderful show of unusual stuff from behind the scenes. It is a fascinating example of the split that happened between the girls and how they moved toward a more electronic sound. Personally I'm more of a fan of the early style but the concept behind this cd is not to make a pretty music cd but as a historical record of their musical output. Read the sleeve notes by Jo, they explain everything. I think this is probably more suited to fans of the early years as the production quality is low on most tracks but if you're a dedicated Fuzzbox fan then it should appeal no matter what. |

A little more love and Take me in your arms (Rock me for a little while) were songs which could have hit if Gladys Knight had made them. Nowadays collectors will assume that the artist was a U K hitmaker but the fact is she wasn't but her song Helpless became a hit in the 80s for Tracey Ullman |

However I can offer a review as a non-northern soul fan. I love sixties music, and motown soul in particular and there's nothing better than discovering great tracks that might have passed you by. Even worse is the fact that the majority of post-sixties northern soul songs are absolute stinkers- horrible wannabe disco songs without any real soul or beat.
