The main negative side to this and pretty much every other MOS compilation is that 99% of the tracks have been used before. I completely agree that this is unfair and that they don't really deserve the money they make from them. However, If you forget this is a MOS CD and judge it for the music inside, this is a damn good set of CDs.
If you do not already have a "best of trance" compilation CD and you're into the genre, i strongly advise that you get this CD. The originality of track selection may be poor but when you hear all the sublime tracks like Sandstorm, Resurrection and Born Slippy perfectly mixed together, you won't regret the purchase.

Can anyone confirm what the difference is between...
"Dave Pearce Dance Anthems"
"Dave Pearce Classic Anthems"
"Dave Pearce Classics"
"Dave Pearce Anthems 2008"
"Trance Classics: By Dave Pearce" ?
Same old albums with the same old songs. And even if you're a new dance fan, how can anyone complain that such criticism is un-justified? Theirs been that many 3-CD collections released over the past 3 years that you'd only need 2 albums to make a descent collection of the usual 1999 trance hits. It's tempting to think Dave is working for Ministry now!
As I've said before and I'll say again, just buy the original albums for the full experience. Mixing a 1996 acid-tripping ... Read More:

Acknowledging all the other reviews that reinforce the point of this being a classic revisit of some of the last 10 years' biggest tunes, I really want to outline that Ministry of Sound ownership also represents possibly the biggest thorn in Euphoria's side.
If we take a look at the first Euphoria albums, we can see some real honesty and new ground there. Seldom-heard-of-on-mix-compilations talent like PF Project, Matt Darey, Agnelli&Nelson and Jay Burnett, these guys were given a task to put together an album that said what they wanted to say. The Euphoria album cover would proudly proclaim who had mixed it (and even how - some albums were "digitally mixed" i.e. on a computer rather than by all-hands-on-decks) and each album had a personality ... I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.
When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

At first I thought that this album wouldn't be that good, but recently over time listening to it more often it has become one of the best albums I have in my possesion. It has tunes for everyone and it definately was the ultimate Summer album to have, it has from the classic dance tunes to the up to date and the mix of thenm on each CD is just supurbly done. I recomend any clubbing person, or anyone that likes dance music to get it.
