The title Boudoir Beats is very apt - this third release from the brilliant Late Lounge certainly has a more sensual edge. A few tracks have a late sixties/early seventies lounge feel to them, Reno's "When you're in love" and Max Sedgley's sleazy "Slowly" being examples. The decision to open the album with the totally underrated Rotary Connection's "Black Gold of the Sun" gets it off to a great start. Highlights for me are Groove Armada's "Little by little", Tiefschwarz's brilliantly cheesy-80's sounding mix of "Never", and Natureboy's moody, slightly Pink Floydesque "Lessons in Love." Not your run of the mill money spinner from the record agencies, this album really actually tries to "chill" you out, I have a lot of great memories to some of the tracks on this album so i just had to buy it again after the first one was accidently killed! Bearing in mind i dont usually BUY albums, this should be explanation enough!! well worth buying by anyone who knows a good chill out album when they hear one, Happy Listening.
