Late Night City Blues [CASSETTE]Search: Treat Me Right by: Chris Cain Band Release Date November 10, 1993 The Musichound guide told me that Chris Cain was heavily influenced by both ALbert King and BB King. Which as far as I'm concerned made this a must buy. Having listened to it a couple of times, though, I'm not so convinced. There's definitely some Bert and BB there in the guitar sound - I take it we all know it's the distinctive tones that these artists bring out of their guitars that makes them special, as much as their finger twiddling. But there was also some Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer influence too. If you've ever seen Shooting Stars., I'm sure you're familiar with contestants having to guess what the "Club singer" is singing. And it was just like that. Cain's vocals are just so, so,....aaaggghhh! Two stars just ... Read More: |
