. Nocturnal Frequencies Vol.2: Mixed By Danny HowellsSearch: True house - C by: Danny Howells Release Date March 18, 2004 Nocturnal Frequencies 2 is not as great as everyone is saying it is. I remember buying this one out of everyone saying it is one of the essential picks of 2000. Man I wasted my money on this one. The first disc is pretty clubby. So it is ok for my taste but the beginning is slow and boring. It chugs and chugs but never gets anywhere till later on track 6. Disc two is worse. It's even more slower and more boring. The sound quality is low. Sounds like they recorded this on mono than in stereo. One of my few faves on this one is Dave Alvarado's "Klugh". It's a real stormer and it chugs hard.....but again it goes nowhere. So yeah if your just a real Danny Howell's fan and collects everytyhing he has out there, then obviously you will enjoy this ... Bora Bora Ibiza - Day & NightSearch: True house - C by: Various Artists Release Date March 06, 2001 Forget all the other Ibiza compilations, because this c.d. captures the music and mood of one of the best places on the island. If you went to BoraBora this year and were dancing on the tables waving the planes in, then this c.d. is a must have, because you'll recognise and love all the tunes. Disc Two is especially good. But a mainstream Ibiza album it is not, and I'm thankful for that. This c.d. is certainly the sound of my summer in Ibiza......you should already know if this album's for you without reading this review! |
