I don't have much time for music that goes under the banner of disco, soul, etc., but occasionally those genres throw up something that I can't ignore. I've always had a liking for the title track of this album and, knowing that Benson is a renowned jazz performer and that he has some of the best assistance possible here, I took a chance. The second album is "In your eyes" from 1983. Again it has a R&B feel but this time there is a more polished sound. It has some excellent tracks. The title track is a great ballad while ... Read More:

Laura combines new interpretations of recordings from yesterday and today. Laura hits new heights with her unique interpretation of Stevie Wonder's "Lately", Michael Bolton's "How am I supposed to live without you" and Van Morrison's "Have I told you lately". This eclectic album also looks further back in time to the quintessential Bangles's track "Eternal flame" together with Patti Austin and James Ingram's "Baby come to me" and gives them the Laura Fygi jazzy mood for which she is world famous. An excellent album for round midnight with no lamplight on.
