I came across this whilst looking for something else and found some tracks I'd been looking for for years.
This is fantastic if your clubbing days were mid80's to mid90's.
If someone says to you the music in the 90's was rubbish then get them this. Some absolute classics...Mantronix (Got to Have Your Love) Good Life (Inner City) Too Blind To See It (Kym Sims) are brilliant dance classics....enjoy, I can't stop playing them !!!

I buy dance compilations primarily to listen to good mixing between (good) tracks. The track selection on this package isn't awful, OK there are some tracks that perhaps shouldn't be there, but what annoys me slightly is the total lack of any careful mixing between tracks. Some transitions are as smooth as silk, whereas others are a simple fade down and fade up which all takes place in about 3 seconds, or just a crash edit, which I find defeats the point of buying an album such as this.

When will MOS return to letting actual named DJ's mix their output?

Positives - huge track listing, up to date tracks, good track selection....minuses - tracks are "dance" versions half the time and not single releases as expected, and also a lot of filler, lesser known tracks.
Probably good as a general compilation but lots of dance albums around with similar track listings currently to compare. Probably worth holding out for a better one.
