Not bad, but not as inventive or as varied as MC Bar Social 2, and too mainstream in places for my liking (Fool's Gold, You've got the Love, Groove Armada, Moby, Fatboy Slim). I think the aim of MCs compilations is always to blend tunes you're familiar with with some more obscure numbers, thereby extending your knowledge of outstanding tracks... the trouble with this compilation is the "hooks" are too mainstream, you react in a negative way when you hear stuff like the Stone Roses - its been done to death after Lock Stock soundtrack, etc.
Still reasonable, but if you want to buy a single compilation for life, go for MC Bar Social 2.

this compilation captures my moods as a kid listening to music that sounds better then than it is now which is all i can say about it as this is pure dynamite in terms of what it has to offer from Blur's Song 2, The Rembrandt's "il be there for you" Cornershop's "brimful full of asha" The Cure's "Friday im in love" and my fave Supergrasses "we are young" which makes this an ideal present for anybody remembering these songs as a school kid.

Superb album, better than the 1st and that was damn good too. after reading previous reviews slagging this album for being outdated, well thats what this album is all about, it caters for those old enough to remember and appreciate the best days in trance history REGARDLESS of whether you the buying public own any of the separate tunes on this album, previous trance albums released by other trance labels have put a few dozen decent tunes on their albums and then the rest have been crappy, unlike this album where each and every tune is superb. basically its ALL the BEST tunes on one album, making it the best trance compilation album released to date. (in my opinion!)

Well if like me you were partying in the early nineties, then this is the one album you need. This album has every club classic from this era, I think nearly all are the original mixes aswell, not something you always get with compilations. Superb!!!!!

The previous reviewer could not understand why this compilation why such great value. I can probably enlighten him... They have cut some of the greatest songs on here right back. For instance, the mighty 'Purple Rain'- you just start getting into the song and the solo begins... and it gets faded out! (At about 4 minutes in). This is a cardinal sing and means this set is virtually worthless. Another noticable fade is the great Python Lee Jackson song, 'In a broken dream'. What were they thinking???
Not all songs are cut (i.e. the rule seems to be if it runs loger than 4 and a half minutes we'll cut it.)

Excellent Mega mix, much improved from The Mash Up Mix 2005; a great sequel to this new series. Includes many classic dance anthems and all the hits of 2006.
The Cut Up Boys really show style, experimenting with different mixing styles and there is no monotonous beat, which goes through the whole mix. From the three MOS (2005, 2006, 2007) which of the time of writing are available, this Mash Up's is my favourite. Nice acappella version versions, which I never heard of Silence (Delerium), track 10, CD2 and a great reminder of what House music is ;-) with "Do you remember House". The CD2 finishes with the top dance song of 2005: D.H.T. - listen to your heart. I could not possibly describe all songs, but some of the above are just some examples. ... Read More:
