Well, if you like the Backstreet Boys you won't be disappointed with this album. Kevin is missing but there are still 4 great voices here. We've watched them all grow and Nick's matured along with his voice. As with most groups the sound has matured with them, and grown more sophisticated, although as far as I'm concerned A.J.'s voice couldn't get much better, it's like velvet!
There are some great lyrics on this, e.g. track no 6, Any other way: "there you go, caught you crashing my dreams again, just when I'm tryin to get over you", "a world without you is only wasted space"- and the boys themselves had a hand in writing some of them. Music for Pictures

Trey Gunn's "Music for Pictures" is an odd album. 28 of its compositions are short, many of only about a minute's duration, whilst one, the closing composition "The Ghosts Listen", is over 20 minutes! You might think that at 20+ minutes you would get a "musical" composition, as the title of the album implies, but no, instead the piece is about experimentation with sound - one particular sound in particular, with a deep rumbling timbre with a sharp attack and very long decay. It's interesting, particularly trying to work out Trey has played it, but ultimately it won't fit many people's ideas of "music".
