This compilation seems great, if the tracklist is not quite as legendary as that of Cream Classics Volume 1. But when are Cream going to release a compilation of their best trance and hard dance tracks? Theres only so much classic house tracks to compile

Three CD's of superb tunes - some old favourites, a lot of classics and a few cheeky popuar tunes thrown in for good measure. This an album that doesn't try to take itself too seriously by claiming to be "the album of classics" -there are too many to get on one box set - but offers up everything it says on the tin -a collection of Renaissance Classics. A renaissance night is unique experience and this is classics according to the renaissance experience and i think its absolutely perfect. Just right. With tunes like Last Rhythm and Gat Decor - Passion, this is an album if you were a serious clubber, a halfway clubber or an occasional clubber. It fits for everyone. And for the person with the review that says its obviously computer ... Read More:

Oh my god, what an alb. If you're a fan of the old skool rave classics, this is for you! If you used to dance with smileys sewed into the seats of your dungarees and have glow sticks stuck in your nostrils blowing a whistle with your ass...this probably aint for you, but give it a go anywayz. I used to love all the rave classics, Elter Skelter, DJ Puffy Pijin, Mc Dougal Cheese, whatever, and I love this album as it brings back the memories. Check tracks 2,3 and 8 if you like your rave like I like me porn - hardcore and stinkin. Wicked!

Yes yes, Ministry of Sound put out plenty of albums, particularly classic ones, and seem to get plenty of flack in the reviews (!), but honestly this is brilliant. I was given Anthems I for Christmas last year, and that was pretty good, but this follow up is even better. Mostly because it digs out some of the brilliant but not often seen tracks like DReam, S Express, New Order, Orbital and Billie Ray Martin.
Discs 2 and 3 seem to be chronological as well, but it really is big tune after big tune, great if you buy only one dance album. Faithless, Livin Joy, Modjo (what a track!), Olive, Stardust, the list goes on.
I'm lovin it! Couldn't recommend it more...i'll be getting it for people for Christmas...

Excellent, hope this helps

I don't typically write Amazon reviews. In fact, this is probably the first solely by virtue of the quality of the tracks on this OST.
Whilst I make no bones about the fact that I consider Ideal to be one of the funniest and best observed comedies on television in recent years, the degree to which the music used in the series has got under my skin came as something of a surprise.
As Ideal's writer, Graham Duff, points out in the sleeve notes to the OST, soundtracks are frequently teriible - ranging from opportunistic positioning of recent 'chart hits' to aid sales to the generally dire 'music inspired by' albums.
The Ideal OST - fortunately - is not guilty of either of the above oft committed 'crimes' and parcels some ... Read More:
