yet another dnb compilation i have checked out which has disc 1 and 3 with mostly rubbish and just 2/3 top quality tracks. and then has disc 2 which has several top quality tracks which would normally compel me to buy it just so i can listen to the quality disc on a regular basis. however mastercuts is a little different to most compilations, and ultimately, very annoying.
as is say the second disc has about 7/8 tracks of pure gold, trouble is its pretty obvious this compilation has been arranged by someone who knows absolutely nothing about drum n bass. take the first 2 tracks of disc 2, absolute liquid dnb classics, then followed by 1 top quality chillout dnb track and one poor quality chillout dnb track(why did they go from liquid ... This package is great value - a really helpful guide to playing poker with tips on how to play and the rules for beginners, and more advanced strategy for the more discerning player. I'd say it's more focused at the newcomers to the game, given poker's recent renaissance. The album is a cracking soundtrack to any poker night featuring classics by Dusty Springfield, Isaac Hayes and Sammy Davis jnr to give your poker home game a real Vegas feel!

Bar Culture captures the mood of the contemporary bar with an eclectic mix of lounge, electronic, house and funk. All selected and mixed in an inpired order which can blend perfectly into the background or one on one give you something to listen to. Definitly deserves to be closely inspected.

There's a number of tunes I remember here from the old days, that's the good. The bad, well, unfortunately these are not the full versions. In order to get 20 tracks onto an audio cd they have (unsurprisingly) had to cut each one down to about 4 minutes or a bit under that. At a guess most should go on for about 6 minutes and these are not "radio edit" type affairs either, they music just suddenly fades out.
I'm being slightly generous giving it 3 stars, but that's taking into account the low price. I would have paid treble if these were the full versions.

This album has so many good tracks on it it's hard to point to any one reason why you should buy this album, but certainly the first tracks on each of the two CDs are something special. While I was already familiar with "Pure Shores" by All Saints, the first track on the second CD "Boom Boom Ba" by Metisse is equally as powerful and dramatic, while being completely chilled. Both set the mood beautifully ... Buy it!
