I kind of trusted on the reviews.Ok there are some great songs on it,the classic but also a lot of rubbish.A great number of songs (even some famous ones) sound like they were recorded with electronic music.
I'm going to look for a cd with maybe less songs but more quality.

The Best Christmas Album In The World ... Ever!

This is a pretty decent stab at a Xmas party album but suffers from the usual faults ie Because the record company behind it can't obtain permission to use all the tracks they might want, you end up with this compromise. Unfortunately in this instance they've made matters worse by substituting inferior versions of some tracks for the real thing(surely no one actually believes "Fairytale of Newyork" is enhanced by Ronan Keating's contributions).

There is a fairly simple solution:Buy this album AND "Chritmas Hits"(a three CD set that can be got pretty cheaply), although there is quite a bit of over-lap, the two discs together should provide all the material you need to put together a tailor-made great xmas party album.

A few of the tracks on this compilation were recorded at other times, but the main focus is on the fifties and sixties. As well as Christmas songs, this set includes several songs that were hits in the UK charts over the Christmas period. I prefer Christmas music and other music to be kept separate but I'm sure that many people like this broad definition of Christmas memories and I'll admit that the compilers have made some great choices.

The non-Christmas songs include Mister Sandman, Moon river, From Russia with love, Never do a tango with an Eskimo, Swinging on a star (credited only to Big Dee Irwin, this is actually a duet with Little Eva of Locomotion fame), You belong to me, Somewhere my love, Lily the pink, One day at a time ... We bought this to put in a jukebox over Christmas, and it was constantly on! Its good if you are having family round, as maybe background music, but loudly, it would drive you insane...

When I was a kid this album was always played from the 1st of December until Boxing day and I absolutely loved it! It brings back great memories and all the songs are brilliant and such a great variety! No matter who you are you will recognise over half of the songs and theres not a Cliff Richard song in sight!! It really is the No.1 Christmas Album - definately deserves its title!
