I really wanted to give this cd 5, but it ain't that good. For one we don't get a few gems, where's the power of love, the a-team remix, the imperial march and the band music from the final episode? That aside it's great, David Holmes Coldcut and Cornelius are great and some nice sublime tracks are here, even the king of rock and roll has grown on me. The best surprise is The Fantastic Plastic machine, who make the most of having 3 tracks, and the most memorable, I cannot live without 'Theme of Luxury' its ace. What provides the most heartache is the fact there's not gonna be a series 2 cd, where the music is just as good, nothing has been more traumatising since the no show of the chasing Amy soundtrack. Avoid this like the plague, it is in no way a genuine artefact. It is simply some recently processed (by Ozit/Interstate, and not by the very dead Martin Hannett) Joy Division original tracks that have been speeded up and a metronome added over the top (badly at that), and a load of tape noise/doodles that have absolutely nothing to connect them to Joy Division or the tracks contained within this release. Interstate are now well known for peddling illegal material, this is merely the latest offering. There is nothing here for the casual fan, nothing here for the hardcore, nothing here of any interest. Do not waste your money.
