Insineratehymn gets a bit of a bad press from some Deicide fans, for being too 'commercial'. It's certainly true that this is the most accessible Deicide album, with a crisp polished sound, a noticeable slowing down, but it's still only relatively commercial, with Glenn Benton's rabidly anti-Christian lyrics making sure Deicide will never become MTV darlings. Not quite up to the level of Serpents of the Light, there's maybe a little too much slower tempo sludge, and a couple of songs are a bit disposable, but there's still a wealth of great riffing here, and opener Bible Basher must rank as one of the best songs Deicide ever recorded.
