This is a wonderfully put-together CD, that manages to be both soothing and uplifting. Its certainly no run of the mill compilation as it lilts from familiar pieces by Handel, to the rarified charms of little known Tudor melodies. Wallowing amidst warm eddies of scented bathwater with a glass of bubbly in your hand, this completes an indulgent orgy for the senses! I have purchased a few Cd's from this label, the Gift of Music, and have loved every one to bits, so much so that I wouldn't hesitate to treat family and friends (especially those who are tricky to buy for!) to this CD for Christmas. A treasure.
