Classic Sound EffectsSearch: Water Splash by: Various Artists Release Date February 21, 1997 I received this CD very well packaged...no complaint there...unfortunately I was very disappointed with the content of this...I believe I expected to many Sound Effects of different types...not so many types repeated...plus there appeared to be 20 or so tracks missing...I only could play 63 of them and there was 84 listed. |

. The Kiss and Other MovementsSearch: Water Splash by: Michael Nyman Release Date May 21, 1987 I can't enthuse about this album enough. From the first track where you are grabbed by the ears and lulled into a strange musical world full of exotic rythyms, frantic strings, beautiful melodies and bizarre lyrics which do not appear to conform to any notion of a song that I have every heard before. If you are a Nyman fan, you will love this. Memorable lyrics include .. "Images were introduced because many people cannot retain in their memories what they hear ......" There's also a passage from Laurence Sterne's Tristram Shandy ( a sort of ancient Monty Python - The Nose List Song). Weird and wonderful. |
