Release Date September 09, 1996
A rather different sound to their more instrumental efforts earlier in the 70's. Many pop anthems here, including Ladies Night and Celebration. Go on, strut your funky stuff !!!
Release Date June 21, 2004
I bought this at the same time as Earth, WInd & Fire's Greatest Hits. EWF's is good, but nowhere need as good as this.
I'm not really into this kind of music, but I have always liked K&tG and this is just a fun-packed 69 minutes of good time music. Virtually all of these tracks move at a fair lick and, although the lyrics are not earth-shattering deep and meaningful, who cares when the music is so good.
The singing is great, but the musicianship is simply outstanding, and great for a bop at party time.
Favourite track? Probably 'Cherish', but 'Fresh' is exactly that, 'Victory' is fabulous with it beat and 'Joanna' has always been a favourite of mine.
They're still going, thankfully, so let's ... Read More:

Raven issued a wonderful collection of the Richard Harris/Jim Webb sessions some time ago and they follow that with a terrific collection of Webb's work with Glen Campbell. All the hits are here, plus the complete "Reunion" album, plus hard-to-find items - some forgettable, others absolute gems. All this is topped off by great sleeve notes. An absolute must for lovers of great melodic music. This collection won't be bettered.

If you ever fancy a bit of the former East Midlands Gas Board employee's gravely croonings but don't know which to go for, look no further than this excellent album. For the hit-seekers amongst you, this is where the overplayed classic "You are so beautiful" lies, along with several other heart wrenching ballads. Musical accompaniment is sparse, giving Cocker's bluesy + throaty vocals centre stage on some of the best songs he has ever chosen to record, particularly Jim Webb's "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress", backed only by a piano, which remains little known + still retains its immense charm. Cocker recorded this album at a difficult time in his life, following his physical + artistic decline during a gruelling tour in 1970 which almost ... Read More:
