1) When they next get together to get another series of 'Classic Albums - The Making Of' DVD's, this should definitely be one of them, and
2) Every 'serious' rock fan's collection should have this album, it is absolutely essential!!

It's one of those things that, when you first think about it, it really doesn't and shouldn't work.
Ever.

But after coming across this album's version of "Nothing Else Matters" on Kerrang! TV, I was shocked and also intrigued by what else the album may have in store.
Now, most people know Metallica as one of the most influencial and outstanding metal bands of all-time, so when fans heard that they would be combining themselves with the San Francisco Symphony, as you can imagine, assumptions were made before they music was even heard.
This is one of the most beautifully constructed albums that I have ever heard, and the fact that it is a live recording just adds to the charm of it all. It holds all the amazing work ... Read More:

I am a huge Metallica fan and i am always on the look out for new stuff aswell as the odd bit. these titles are the odd bit. Along with apolaclipca ( the four cello stuff ) these are cracking.never really heard of bluegrass before and bought these just to try them out. within seconds of putting them on and not really knowing what was going to happen i was grinning like a mad man. every track just kept getting better. this is real foot taping stuff. all the covers are done with a unique style and with respect to the original that it deserves.my 3yr old girl wont stop dancing to it and even my wife ( who hates Metallica ) even smiles. just buy them and within minuets you to will be smiling, foot tapping and blowing across your beer bottle in time with the bass ... Live Shit: Binge & Purge

I have been a fan of Metallica for a long time, and if you have not seen this dvd set and heard the cds then invest, because you will love it, it even has Welcome Home (Sanitarium) live and trust me this version is amazing, metallica are better live than on cd and that is quite a feat as they are the best rock band ever (at least in my opinion!) I must confess though i wish they had stopped at the black album all the songs upto then i love each and every one, i do like the new stuff just not as much as the original!
