This is a good album, definaatly worth buying. The best tracks would have to be fly like and eagle by the steve miller band, cocaine by eric clapden and little sister by ry cooder. I wasn't impressed when i first heard this album but it grew on me and makes great backround music. Not essential buting but a great assent to a music collection

Release Date April 22, 2003
20 tracks spanning Kool & The Gang's 1973 "Jungle Boogie" through Loose Joint's 1985 "Hangin' On A String" - quite a lot of territory. All tracks are advertised as full 12" or extended versions, but there's no annotation detailing this, and 3 tracks don't even break the 4 minute mark. The emphasis is on string-soaked funk, so we get the usual suspects like Barry White (the 8:30 version of "Strange Games") and Donna Summer (the full 16:47 of "Love To Love You Baby"!), as well as Teena Marie, Dee Dee Sharp, Fatback Band, Eddie Kendricks and Cher (!) The sound is quite clear, although it sounds like a few tracks were mastered from vinyl, and there's a conspicuous lack of grunt in most of the bass (there's no mention of any tracks being remastered). ...
