Yvonne Gage - Garden Of Eve (12" version)
Jimmy Castor Bunch - Don't Do That (12" version)
Margie Joseph - Prophecy (12" version)
Mighty Fire - Love Fantasy (12" version/album version)
There are so many good 12"es from the period 1975 - 1985 out of the vaults from Warner, Elektra & Atlantic of which many didn't appear on cd yet, so there's a nice job for the compilers of this series.

Disc one is the best disc of the set containing all of the singles of the original Specials from debut pot boiler `Gangsters' through to epoch number one band closer `Ghost Town'. The chronological order also gives all of the b-sides and the whole of `The Special AKA Live EP' which also hit the number one spot. Also contained is the very rare Dutch only Release `Concrete Jungle (live)' b/w `Racquel'.

Wow, I saw this cd on whilst purchasing A Tom Moulton Mix cd.
I have to say that the track listing is amazing. By far the best Larry Levan compilation out there. The fact they have included Taking Heads & Yazzo shows what the Garage was all about. Long before I even heard of the Paradise Garage, I only new Mr Levan as a remixer by reading the record labels.(Some of these tracks where produced or remixed by the man himself).I have to admit that I already own these records. So this cd isn't much use to me. But I would say this is essential to anyone who doesn't and loves music to groove to.

I have to say that the track listing is amazing. By far the best Larry Levan compilation out there. The fact they have included Taking Heads & Yazzo shows what the Garage was all about. The above comment goes some way to explaining why I've woken out of my current musical stupor to actually write a review. Mix CD compilations are a dime a dozen these days. They often provide a useful tool for DJ producers to either highlight what's coming next or to finally unfold the secrets on a bunch of white label promos and studio edits that only they have had access to for the past months.
Fabric 43 by Metro Area does none of that.
