Day of the DreamerSearch: You Can Call Me by: Renaissance Release Date May 15, 2000 I bought this for the live versions of 'Day of the dreamer' and 'Song for all seasons' which are themselves long tracks but some of the other tracks are very long too ! Track 7 ' Prologue' is just a doodle with warbling over it and tinkling keyboards. Where was 'Northern lights' ? Criminal. The packaging leaves a bit to be desired too. No band photos, no indication of which albums and years the songs originate from. The only redeeming feature of the sparse presentation is singer Annie Haslams notes (where she modestly states that the band had an 'operatically trained voice never to be equalled in the genre' i.e. hers !). Having said all this the aforementioned two tracks that I bought the cd for do sound great live and the sound quality ... Read More: |
