I just got this CD yesterday, and it's simply amazing. If you listen to Shania Twain or Ilse de Lange, you'll love this CD.

It has everything from soft ballads, like "Reach", and more upbeat songs like "In any given moment". Meredith really shows off her vocal talents on this CD, you can tell she can relate to the songs. It's almost impossible not to sense that. If you've ever experienced unrequited love, heartache, amazing friendship, love, or any of the many other human emotions, this CD is for you.

If you want to label Meredith, she's contemporary country.

The 1990 version was an hour long track, and sonically 'challenging' - it was partially recorded in a huge water tank and the music evolves/degenerates into an atonal rumble that requires a good sound system. But it's a fascinating, raw, experience, if hard to find now. The 1994 Point Music version took elements of that recording and was a smoother experience, with lots of fascinating sound effects. It was handily divided into sections - my favourite being the one including bass clarinet, as it resembles Bryars's less experimental works, and is haunting all on its own.
