This CD falls into two parts. The first 6 tracks are excerpts from "Glamorous Night" and the next 6 from "Careless Rapture". I found this half of the CD no more than adequate. The second half of the CD, tracks 13-21, are listed as 'Bonus Tracks", and are from 4 other shows. These tracks are in a different class, and I would be happy to have the CD for these alone. Tracks 13-17 feature Moira Anderson (not 'Sanderson' as listed on Amazon!) in some very pleasant Peter Hope arrangements, played sensitively by Robin Stapleton & his Orchestra. The final 4 tracks principally feature Vanessa Lee and, although I suspect that they were made towards the end of her career (1958/9), the singing is beautiful. Standout tracks include, the Nobel prize mix of Mike Oldfield's Sentinal, Pounding beats over whirling atmospheric sounds and over 12 minutes long, this one is timeless.

Lisa Stansfield's time to make you mine is taken to another level, the only description I can give of this track is SEXY!!!

You've also got the classic Blue danube remix of the KLF's 3am eternal, the mental bassline's of Meat Beat manifesto's Radio Babylon and Tubeway Army's Jo the waiter, and the infectious rhythms of Tangerine Dreams Towards the evening star.

Well I had my hopes severly dented when I got hold of this. The real gems are padded by mediocre and downright second-rate remixes - is it any wonder we've never heard of them before - strictly bargain basement 12"s I'm afraid. I'd like to say the few classics (Primal Scream and Sun Electric) make the album worth while but I found myself reaching for the next track button farto often. Not the best that The Orb can do but for fans and completists a must to fill that hole in their collections.

Can't Hold On certainly the best song of the year.

One day a ray of sunshine came into my life. Yes, it was the music of Hall and Oats! I previously thought that Paul Carrick was the greatest songsmith of the modern age, but I was sadly mistaken.

Were they touched by the almighty, when they lifted their pens to write "The Best of Hall and Oats", I think they were. And, in my humble opinion, it is by far their greatest work to date.

Tracks 4,5,8 and 11 are all fantastic.

If you buy this today then trust me you won't be dissapointed. In fact it may change your life as it changed mine.
